How to measure your dog

Have your dog stand naturally on a flat surface for the most accurate reading.

Neck: measure around the base of the neck, where a collar would normally sit.
Chest: measure around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs.
Length: measure from the base of the neck to the base of the tail, along the back.

If your dog measures between two sizes, we'd generally recommend sizing up for comfort.

Coats

Coats are sized by back length, measured from the base of the neck to the base of the tail, rather than by chest measurement.

Dog beds & mats

Measure your dog lying down, nose to tail, and add 10–15cm for a comfortable fit. If your dog is between sizes, size up rather than down.

Crates & carriers

Your dog should be able to stand up, turn around, and lie down comfortably inside. Measure your dog's length, nose to base of tail, and add at least 10cm.
