Our story
It started with one dog who couldn't get comfortable
Biscuit came to us already grey around the muzzle, a fourteen-year-old rescue nobody else wanted because everyone was after a puppy. For a while an old folded blanket by the radiator did the job. Then his hip started giving him trouble, and it stopped being enough.
We searched everywhere for a bed that would actually support him. What we found was either flimsy pillow-shaped things stuffed with the same filling as a cheap cushion, or genuinely supportive foam beds priced like furniture, made by people who'd clearly never sat on the floor at 1am trying to help their dog get comfortable.
So we built the thing we couldn't find. A slab of proper supportive foam, a removable cover stitched by a friend who sewed, and one very important tester: Biscuit. He slept through the night. That was the whole verdict, and it was enough to convince us to make more.
Word travelled faster than we expected — other owners of aging dogs, dogs recovering from surgery, dogs who just liked their comfort, started asking where we'd got it. Then came Marmalade, a foster cat with zero interest in dog beds and very strong opinions about scratching posts, and the range grew from there.
We're still a small team, we still test everything on our own animals first, and we still think about Biscuit every time a new prototype comes off the line. This whole business exists because one old dog couldn't get comfortable — and we decided that shouldn't be something any pet owner just has to accept.
